Once again, I'm a bulletin board for giveaways.

Sorry guys about the lack of real content lately. It's just that, for some stupid, unknown reason, the only things I have been wanting to write about lately are rants that are seriously stupid. It's like every time I sit down and try to write, all I want to do is vent.

So, to get it out of my system so I can go back to posting real things (I have some stuff planned for this next week), I'm going to post a mini-rant post.

Here goes:

1. I need to preface this by saying that I am, and ALWAYS will be, super grateful for blog and Facebook giveaways. Always. Without these giveaways, I would never have the diverse stash I have pre-built for our little one. But, I do believe that just as fans and followers need to be courteous to the hosts and sponsors, the hosts and sponsors need to be courteous to the fans as well. For example, if you say you're going to run a giveaway one way, please follow through. I'm not going to get into specifics here so as to not hurt any feelings, but if you say one thing then do another (read: the complete opposite and deprive several people of opportunities), you're going to make your fan base seriously annoyed. Yes I realize they are allowed to do whatever they like, but still.

2. I'm thinking I'm going to market myself as a blog post editor for some of the up-and-coming or large blogs (say, 500+ fans and/or ones that have sponsors). I say this because I know that grammatical errors are simply part of life, but when you make glaring errors in almost every blog post and Facebook update, in my mind, you lose so much credibility. Proper capitalization, spelling, and punctuation just makes somebody look so much more professional about whatever the review is about. Again, I'm not talking about the minor mistakes and typos here and there, I'm talking about regular issues that frankly should be checked. Random capitalized letters are a big one for me. I haven't figured out a way to break into this job yet, but I really want to be able to help these blogs. I'm aware that this comes off as elitist, and I'm not trying to be, I promise.

3. Getting my husband on board with going green(er) is difficult. Ok, that's not entirely fair of me. Instead, I should say that getting my husband to remember that we are trying to live a healthier lifestyle is difficult when he goes to the grocery store without me. He has been coming home lately with a bunch of super harsh cleaning products, soaps that go on our dishes that are packed full of fake scents, etc. I'm sorry, but the thought of putting my food that enters my body on plates and drinks in cups that I put my mouth on being covered in spring apple scent that I KNOW is totally fake is disgusting. My husband doesn't think in those terms, and that's ok, but I don't always have time to go to the store so I need to trust that he will make decisions for us that are healthy. It's a learning process, and I need to be patient.

4. My skin is breaking out horribly lately and I literally have no idea why, other than stress. Stress wreaks havoc on my entire body, and apparently my poor skin is really impacted.

There's a lot more, but for now, I'm leaving it at that. Thank you for letting me vent that out!
