This past week, I was in College Station, Texas (also known as Aggieland) for two reasons. The first was to get my step-brother-in-law registered for his first semester at Texas A&M University! He will be joining the Corps of Cadets, and we could not be any prouder of him. But, with him being an incoming freshman, we had a lot of things to go over and this included making his schedule and getting him registered.
So after a long few days, all was well and we got him properly enrolled without any issues. The best part about it is that the lucky duck has only one Friday class! As a freshman, that's pretty awesome.
The second reason why I was in College Station (CS for short) was that my younger brother was being checked into the soccer camp Texas A&M holds every summer. For the next five days, he will undergo intense soccer training that will hopefully benefit him during his varsity year in high school.
It took forever getting him checked in because the kids all had to provide their own everything- bedding, drinks, snacks for their dorm, etc. and it had to last five days because the kids aren't allowed to leave campus. Therefore we had a lot of stuff to take up there because he needed his pillows, blankets/sleeping bags, etc. But, we finally got everything done and he's good to go.
I'm back home now, and will be posting a bunch of giveaways and stuff that are going on, so be prepared for the onslaught of Facebook status updates, tweets, and blog posts!
